As for brass instantaneous push-in fitting, the SIRIT adapters have been designed to be used with polyamide (Rilsan) 11/12 or elastomeric polyester (Hytrel) tubing on the pneumatic circuits of auxiliary and braking systems of trucks and trailers.
It is a ready-to-use safety fitting that requires no additional tools or equipment to mate with pipes. The only operation required is the manual insertion of the pipe into the fitting seat.
This allows for a much shorter assembly time than the traditional cutting ring joint.
Assembly times are estimated to be 70% ÷ 80% shorter. The tolerance of the pipes used must strictly comply with those provided for by ISO 7628 and DIN 74324/73378.
The operating thermal range for the SIRIT one-touch fitting is + 100 ° C / -40 ° C. The tightness in these conditions is ensured by a specific design mix selected for the SIRIT O-Ring.

The tubing must be cut at right angles with a maximum tolerance of 15°. Correct assembly isperformed only when the tubing inserted touches the end of the tube seat. To be absolutelycertain that this is the case it is advisable to mark the depth of the tubing coupling (distance H).
The tubing/fitting coupling does not require tools. To make the operation easier it issufficient to slightly turn the tubing. The force required for the fitting is shown in thefollowing table.
Unscrew the hexagonal nut of about 360°.
Screw the adapter in the female thread until the O-Ring reaches the sealing seat.
Orient the adapter in the required position (max. range 360°, keeping the sense of screwing).
Block the hexagonal nut with the torque as indicated on table.
